In the 1939 register his parents, James [14-1-1885] baker's first hand, and mother Gertrude M [1-5-1884] were at 26 Stamford Street,Newmarket,with a boarder, Alfred DALTON, a racing apprentice. There are no closed records. |
He died in action on Braddell Road, Singapore, together with several Newmarket men, on the day before the surrender of Singapore to the Japanese Buried at Sime Road camp he was moved to Kranji War Cemetery on 14th April 1945 |
